✨ Types of Recount Text ✨

Firstly, personal recount, which exposes an event in which the experiences of the writer which happen in the past. for example biographic and autobiographies.
Secondly, factual recount is detail selected to help the reader reconstruct the activity or incident. Which the purpose is to retell the past event or incident which is related to the factual event in general. For example: recording an incident, science department, police report.
Thirdly, imaginative recount is an unreal event or story and tells an imaginative character and imaginative events which is created by the writer (Derewianka, 1990:15). For example: personal though/reaction.

✨ The Purpose of Text Recount ✨

  • Is to reconstruct past experiences by retelling events in original sequence. The purpose of recount text is to list and describe past experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened.
  • Wardiman (2008:61) to entertaining or informing the reader.

Vocabularies Used
